Directions and Parking
There is a rear entrance to the school from New Road, BUT all vehicles MUST approach from Clifford Road and Merton Road where they will be met at the school gates and shown where to park by car park marshals.

From the M25 (travelling from Enfield/Southgate/Waltham Cross) Princes Risborough is best reached by leaving the M25 motorway at junction 20 (A41) and then following signs to Aylesbury on the A41. Leave the A41 at junction with B4009 and B488 (signposted to Wendover). Follow the A4009 into Wendover, and head straight through the town following signs to Princes Risborough. In Princes Risborough turn left at the first roundabout, and right at second roundabout. Clifford Road is the second turning on the left.

From the south and south west, leave the M25 at junction 16 (M40) and follow the M40 to junction 4 (A404). When you leave the motorway follow the signs to the A4010 (signposted to Aylesbury) which goes to Princes Risborough, approximately 9 miles from M40. Clifford Road is the second turning on the right after the junction with the B4444.

Teams wishing to use public transport should be aware that Princes Risborough railway station is approximately one kilometre from the school and we regret that we are unable to arrange any transport between the station and school.
The train service is operated by Chiltern Railways, and the journey time varies between 32 minutes for a fast train to 54 minutes for a stopping train from London Marylebone. Should you choose this method of travel, please check ticket prices. There are group discounts available, but you may need to book these in advance.
For full details we suggest you start at: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk.

ON THE CHALLENGE

Teams will be timed in and out at one of the checkpoints where navigation training will be given by the GLN Mountaineering Team and where walkers will break for lunch. These sessions are designed to make the event more interesting and to improve the team’s ability to navigate. The time spent WILL NOT count towards the team’s finishing time.

SUPPORTERS

Those of you bringing along supporters are reminded that food and drink at checkpoints is for teams only. Supporters can pick up details of the route from the Information Desk once all the teams have started, and ensure that any parking restrictions are followed.

MEALS

An evening meal will be provided for all participants.

PRESENTATION

The presentations for the event will start at 18:00hrs with an event summary, Guest speaker, Certificates and trophy presentation.
